Balochistan Launches RISE Program for Youth Empowerment

The Balochistan Rural Support Programme (BRSP) in collaboration with the Government of Balochistan has launched the Resilience, Integration and Socio-Economic Empowerment (RISE) program to support youth development and build stronger communities across the province.

The launch ceremony, held on Monday, gathered senior government officials, development partners, civil society members and community leaders from various districts of Balochistan.

Balochistan Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan called the RISE programme a major milestone toward creating a resilient and empowered province. He said the initiative highlights the government commitment to providing equal opportunities, particularly for young people and marginalised groups.

BRSP Chief Executive Officer Dr. Tahir Rasheed said RISE is not just another project but a step toward a peaceful and prosperous Balochistan. The programme will focus on skill development for the youth, strengthening local institutions and promoting sustainable livelihoods to improve the quality of life for rural communities.

Dr. Rasheed added that BRSP has already reached over 379,000 households in six districts of Balochistan, setting a strong foundation for future development under the RISE programme.
